Preparation:
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper to taste. Drizzle a little olive oil over each chicken breast and rub to coat evenly.
- Grill the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). During the last few minutes of grilling, brush Moore’s Honey BBQ Sauce generously over each chicken breast, flipping once to coat both sides. Continue cooking until the sauce caramelizes slightly and forms a glaze on the chicken.
- Toast the Buns: While the chicken is grilling, lightly toast the hamburger buns or sandwich rolls on the grill until they are warm and slightly crispy.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Place a grilled BBQ chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and sliced red onions if desired. If you like, add a slice of cheese on top of the chicken while it’s still hot so it melts slightly.
- Serve: Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the buns. Serve the grilled BBQ chicken sandwiches immediately, with extra Moore’s Honey BBQ Sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling.
