Essentials:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Steak (Flank Steak, Sirloin)
  • 1/2 Cup Moore’s Original Marinade
  • Baguette or French Bread, Sliced
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Garlic Clove, Peeled and Halved
  • 1/2 Cup Blue Cheese, Crumbled or Goat Cheese
  • Fresh Parsley or Chives, Chopped (for garnish)

Sauce:

Preparation:

  1. Marinate the Steak: Place the steak in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour Moore’s Original Marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s fully coated. Cover or seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  2. Preheat the Grill or Oven: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or preheat your oven to broil.
  3. Prepare the Baguette: Brush both sides of the baguette or French bread slices with olive oil. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. Place the slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven or grill them on the grill until lightly golden brown and crisp. Remove from heat and rub the toasted bread with the cut sides of the garlic clove halves for extra flavor.
  4. Grill the Steak: Remove the steak from the marinade and discard any excess marinade. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Allow the steak to rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  5. Assemble the Crostinis: Place a slice of grilled steak on each toasted baguette slice. Top the steak with crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the steak crostinis with chopped fresh parsley or chives, if desired, for a pop of color and added flavor. Arrange the crostinis on a platter and serve immediately.
