Moore’s Cajun Style Deep Fried Wild Turkey
Ingredients

5 gallons peanut oil

1 (10-15 lb) Wild Turkey

2 cotton strings

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 stick butter or margarine

½ cup Moore's Original Marinade
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions

Pour peanut oil into a 10-gallon pot.

Place pot on propane fish cooker burner and heat oil to 375°.

Dry turkey thoroughly.

Tie two cotton strings around the carcass so bird can easily be lifted out of oil.

Carefully submerge turkey in oil. Deep fry for 3 ½ to 4 ½ minutes per pound and cook until turkey floats to the top.

Remove turkey from oil and immediately dust heavily with Cajun seasoning.

Melt butter or margarine, add Moore's Marinade, garlic powder and cayenne (if desired.)

Allow turkey to cool slightly.

Brush with seasoned butter mixture, then carve.
